Western Region Residential Planning history in brief
The Western Region Residential Planning Committee for the Mentally Retarded operated two category 2 family group homes in Melbourne's western suburbs at:
- 3 Sinns Avenue, Werribee
- 6–8 Hendry Street, Sunshine
The homes were approved in 1982, and provided residential care for children and young people (including wards) with an intellectual disability.

Content: The files record interaction between the various voluntary homes and the government. This filing system was created in 1975, combining earlier correspondence and other records to create one system with VH prefixes.
